One concern you might have about being moved to a smaller supplier is that they might get acquired by another supplier, or perhaps you've gotten an email saying your supplier has been acquired. 

If this happens, don't worry! 

This doesn't mean your current supplier is going bust. It actually changes very little for you and your energy supply. As a rule of thumb, the new supplier will be obligated to honour your existing tariff prices and terms. The only difference is that once you end your fixed contract, the new tariff you would roll onto will be under the new company name. 

The only other thing you may notice is that the bills are going to the new supplier rather than the old, but the prices will remain the same.
