How can I make use of the Switchd email address?
There is no login or inbox for the Switchd email address. We've built a technology that links your Switchd email address to your own personal one. This means that all the emails your supplier sends to the Switchd email address will flow through us and automatically reach your personal inbox.
If you're looking to send an email to your supplier, reply to the email like you normally would. Or you can use the 'Contact Supplier' function found on your Switchd dashboard and this will come directly from the Switchd email address which will be recognisable for them.
Where can I find my Switchd email address?
The quickest way to check is by going to your Switchd dashboard. Your email address will be displayed on the main page underneath the supplier login information. Most of the time, your email address will look like a combination of your name and postcode, and end in @getswitchd.com or @my.switchd.co.uk.
For your easy access, you will always be able to find this at the top of your supplier emails where you will see the Switchd header.
Can I change the email address on the supplier's account?
We've created the email address in the interest of being able to offer the best service for you. If your supplier's notifications come to you directly, the bridge is broken and we'll lose visibility on your account. This means that we wouldn't be providing the full service we want for you by not being able to keep your account and our knowledge up to date. To continue benefitting from our service, we'd kindly suggest you not to change this credential to your personal one with the supplier.
As we're separate from the energy companies (because we advocate for our customers 100%), it's thanks to this credential that we're able to provide an integral service.
Why am I not receiving emails from my energy supplier?
The emails can take a couple of minutes to complete the full course before reaching your inbox. If after a while you still haven't received what you're waiting for, make sure to check your Junk or Spam folder as these can end up here. If it's still not there, make sure you've got the right spelling of the Switchd email address. We'd recommend always copying and pasting it for good measure
