Can I cancel a switch?
All switches can be cancelled within the 14-day cooling-off period and nothing will happen to your energy supply. You will receive a notification about all new switches on your account and the 14 days start from when the switch has been initiated.
After the cooling-off period, the switch can no longer be cancelled.
What do I need to do to cancel a switch?
Please send an email to team@switchd.co.uk and let us know you would like to cancel the switch. It is also possible to contact the supplier directly but please let us know if you do. This will prevent things from going wrong (such as duplicate switches, miscommunication with the supplier).
Do I need to do anything else?
Yes! Please let us know why you have decided to cancel the switch. This is important because we are an automated switching service and if the account is not updated our system will automatically start a new switch. If you let us know the reason for the cancellation, we can discuss the situation and advise accordingly.
How can I avoid being switched to tariffs I don’t want?
It is important to us that our customers are happy with the tariffs we find. The easiest way to let us know your preferences is by going to the Switchd dashboard and selecting 'Switchd settings' from the sidebar on the left.
On the same page, you can exclude certain suppliers from your tariff comparison, set up a minimum saving requirement, or choose to go with green energy options only!
