How do I deactivate my Switchd account?
If you wish to cancel your Switchd subscription, we'd like to know the reason why! This is because we're always looking to improve our service and product to ensure that our customers are having the best experience possible at all times. For this reason, any thoughts you might have on Switchd are welcomed.

Can I cancel my Switchd Direct Debit?
Of course, however, this will not deactivate the account. Instead, a member of our team will call you to confirm if the Direct Debit was cancelled intentionally or in error.
To prevent things (such as pending switches) from going wrong, it is always best to expressly inform us about your intention to deactivate the account. Once this is processed, the Direct Debit will be automatically cancelled.
What if there is an ongoing switch?
We can cancel all switches within the 14-day cooling-off period. After this point, you can deactivate the Switchd account, however, the switch will continue as normal.
Do I need to contact my supplier?
Deactivating your Switchd account will not affect the energy supply. This is because the contract you have with the energy supplier is separate from Switchd and will continue as normal.
We advise contacting your energy supplier from the Switchd dashboard using the ''Contact supplier' function and ask them to change your registered Switchd email address to your personal email address.
Can I reopen my Switchd account?
Absolutely! Simply send an email to team@switchd.co.uk and we will happily re-open the account for you.
