There are a few important things to remember when leaving us.
Firstly, please notify us that you would like to cancel your account; if a direct debit is cancelled, we will contact you find out whether this was intentional or not. Without confirmation from the customer that this is their intention, there are things that can go wrong such as pending switches being cancelled or not cancelled incorrectly.
How do I cancel my Switchd account?
You can do this from your Switchd dashboard. Under User Settings tab (cog icon in the top right) there is the option to deactivate your account. Please note that if you have multiple properties registered with us, you will need to close each one down individually.
What if I have a switch ongoing?
If you have a switch ongoing please let us know whether this should also be cancelled if it’s within the cancellation period, which is 14 days from the start of your switch.
Do I need to contact my supplier?
We advise that you contact your supplier to change your registered email address with them to your personal email address. If you do this before you cancel your account, you can contact them directly from your Switchd account through your Switchd dashboard, under the Contact supplier tab on the left hand side.
Can I reopen my account?
Yes, it is definitely possible to reopen an account if you have closed it. Simply send us an email and we can start the account up again.
